Safranbolu, whose history dates back to the Paleolithic Age, was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1994. There are many works in and around Safranbolu, which has hosted many civilizations, dating back to the Roman, Byzantine, Candaroğulları and Ottoman periods. It is seen that scientific studies often focus on the cultural heritage of the Turkish-Islamic Period, and the most studied subject among these works is Safranbolu houses. In the studies, it was determined that non-Muslim works of Safranbolu, other than the Turkish-Islamic Period works (mostly religious structures, social structures, water structures, etc.), have not been examined sufficiently. This book, which emerged as a result of research conducted between 2012-2019, covers the architectural works left behind by the Safranbolu Greeks.
