There are many well-preserved ancient settlements in the east of Rough Cilicia (between Silifke and Erdemli districts of Mersin province). These settlements have a continuity from the Hellenistic Period to the Roman and Late Antique Periods. Karaböcülü, 13 km north of Silifke, stands out among these settlements. The ruins of the settlement provide evidence that it was inhabited from the Hellenistic Period onwards and that it was a large rural settlement in the Roman and Late Antique Periods. This study aims to examine Karaböcülü as a whole with its ruins.
