The number or size of economic activities carried out in the country reveals the economic situation of the country. Every individual living in a geography is directly affected by the economic situation there.
This study titled Economic Life in Ancient Mesopotamia examines the economic activities of Mesopotamian tribes from their beginnings to the Persians. The main source of income of the Mesopotamian economy was agriculture and animal husbandry. With the development of agriculture and animal husbandry, commercial relations with other countries developed. The people of Mesopotamia consumed some of the products they obtained from agriculture and animal husbandry, while they traded the rest. Thanks to trade, raw materials that were not available in Mesopotamia were provided. The country's own resources and the raw materials obtained from the surrounding regions led to development in the production industry.
