The Lydian Treasures, which were found in tombs near Güre in the mid-1960s and smuggled to the US and returned to the country after a difficult legal battle by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, were publicly known as the Croesus Treasures. So who was this Croesus? What was the source of his wealth? When and where did he live? The book provides answers to these questions.
